FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Youth Villages Girls Home Pampering Day, April 5, 2016, at 1 p.m.

Small business owners provide a special experience for at risk youth

What: Select residents from the Nashville Youth Villages girls group home will be treated to an afternoon of beauty services and their choice of a new outfit.

Who: Melissa Stephens of Melissa Stephens Nail Artistry, Marlene Avila of Marz Makeup & Hair, Avent Turney of Wink Boutique and Amy Lester Casner Photography will become modern fairy godmothers to create a lighthearted and nurturing environment for eight young ladies awaiting foster-care placement.

Why: Every year, thousands of children are removed from their homes and placed in state care with the hopes of either returning to their family or being placed with a new one. While the complexities of this process can be overwhelming, Melissa believes that girls of all ages and circumstances deserve to have a day of fun from time to time. A handful of Nashville’s women-owned small businesses will join Melissa and the girls for an unforgettable afternoon makeover session.

Where: 3310 Perimeter Drive, Nashville, TN 37211. Map link

When: 1- 4 p.m.
